"LONELY BOY KING" - Comic Book Series
[Print, design, and illustration]
The LBK (Lonely Boy King) series was developed over time through my time in academia, between professional work, and free time while teaching to confidently create a comic book adaption of passion project.

Originally developed as a "Sid n' Marty Kroft"- inspired variety show similar to "the Banana Splits Show" and several campy series of the era. Quickly shifting to a more narrative-directed story, with weighted plot points to escalate the stakes.
The Design process spans the brand identity, including logos, font guides, color palettes, to the more art specific qualities such as line weights, aesthetic style and shape languages. Including strict palettes and aesthetics for narrative specific utility, differentiating dream sequences from the reality of the story.
"Braves Creative Guild Zine" - Art Club Showcase
[Print, design, and illustration]

During my teaching at SJB, I moderated a creative club for the students. I would periodically take photos of their whiteboard art, and compile their work (academic, sketch work, and storytelling) into a zine format. It would always serve as a way to highlight their creativity in a medium that would inspire.

"It's cool to see it printed like a real book" said a student.

I think there's value in showcasing their creativity, at this stage in life it can be profound to see yourself printed. I wanted each student to know they are just as good as the professionals they aspire to be.
